How We Work

Your Need
We will get an understanding of your needs. Once the desired workload is agreed upon and how it will be done, we will collaboratively choose the correct personnel to complete the work. We will then create a contract, which includes any and all requirements for the job. All contracts will receive a negotiated cost prior to work beginning.

Getting to work
Once the contract is paid to PTENGS, the work will begin by the professional(s) within 5 business days. As all contracts are below 80 hours, full payments must be paid up front.

Completion on the Job
After the work is complete, the job will be reviewed by a second professional of PTENGS (unless consulting was requested). Upon completion of the review (within 5 business days), you will receive the deliverable to review and verify within 5 business days that the contract requirements are complete. Should additional efforts be needed, we will create an extended contract.
Moving ForwARD
PTENGS is a new business model for our clients to get the additional experienced guidance they need and for technical professionals to do what they love. We will grow our engineer/technical base as more contracts increase. All working efforts will happen during weeknights and/or weekends, as this is additional workload for our already full-time professionals outside of PTENGS.
Our Vision
PTENGS was founded by Jason Black. He is an Engineering Manager that loves to work and think outside the box. Over the years, he discovered other engineers that shared a love to do more. The downside to most technical positions is they are usually capped with a salary and no additional pay for the extra hours worked. Why should a person stop getting paid for what they love to do? PTENGS enables the desires of the technical professional to work additional hours outside of their normal full-time position. PTENGS is creating a bridge for engineering professionals to work with customers for short periods of time, thus no long-term commitments needed by either side.

How does billing work?
Customer will pay digitally prior to the work starting.
Why are contracts paid upfront?
Since these are small contracts, there is an added risk of non-payment after the work is complete. In this industry, some companies can take up to 60 days to pay for the work that was completed. Upfront payment is required, so quick turnaround can take place, thus creating more jobs to be completed faster.
How do I know you can do the job?
We will not accept any jobs we cannot handle and with our extensive technical knowledge base, we are confident we can serve your needs. Our first and foremost rule is to deliver exactly what the customer paid for.
How long will the job take?
All contracts are based on 80 hours of work or less. If additional work is requested, an extended contract will be created. Efforts are worked based on 10 hours a week. The engineering professional may choose to work additional hours each week to complete the contract sooner.
